statement of faith

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, trustworthy and true, without error, Word of God.  We believe that the Word of God is the sole source of all that we believe. 

We believe there is only one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. 

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life; that He performed miracles, that He died to pay the price for our sins through His shed blood; and that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. We believe that Jesus ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God; that He intercedes on behalf of believers; and that He will personally return to this earth in power and in glory.

We believe in the Holy Spirit and His presence in every believer.  We believe the Holy Spirit guides believers, reveals the truth of God's Word and presence, convicts people of their sins, and makes believers more like Christ. 

We believe that we are all born with a sinful nature, separated from God, and in need of salvation. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ was shed on the cross and it provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin.  We believe that salvation only comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe that salvation is a gift from God to man and it cannot be earned though our own efforts or works. 

We believe God's design for marriage is between one man and one woman as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.  As a result, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman.

We believe that children are a gift and blessing from God and that parents are responsible for raising and discipling them to love and honor God and to serve His people. 

We believe that God created human beings in His image.  Therefore, we believe that every human life is sacred from conception to natural death and that we must value the physical and spiritual needs of all people.  Following Christ's example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity, and respect.
